“'Make a Memory' Jewelry Night ” presented by Anna Murfin
Classes: Tuesday, 11/30
Location: Sandwich Arts Alliance Center
124 Rt 6A, Sandwich, MA
Cost: $50 members/$60 non-members
Have fun learning about color and design elements in this introduction to jewelry making. No previous jewelry experience needed.
During this 2 hour class you will make a personalized necklace and matching bracelet (or a couple of necklaces or a couple of bracelets) using memory wire so you can leave the class wearing your BLING! Your instructor will guide you through how to design a unique necklace and bracelet from scratch, thinking about color, size and shape of beads.
All tools and memory wire are provided, and you are encouraged to bring any beads you may have already to use in the class. Interesting, unusual and unique beads, ranging from handmade ceramic beads to Czech glass and semi-precious stone beads, will be available to purchase from the instructor on the night.
MEN – although our culture traditionally steers men away from jewelry and, more specifically, bead work, making jewelry can be a great way to access your creativity as well as to create a stunning, personal gift for a loved one (or yourself)!
