Snapshot Stories: An Exploration in Time Travel Through Reflective Writing
PRESENTED BY: Instructor Nicole Hendrick Donovan
In this workshop we will explore the power of “time travel” by using personal old photographs as our muse. In 2019, I stumbled across a file of old family photographs taken by my father, and inspiration tugged at me. I found myself writing potent and reflective entries in my journal as I allowed myself to connect with the images. As a result, I wrote a series of ten essays, which I published called Saturday Snapshot Stories. As I began to use these reflective writing practices, it brought me gifts of connection, healing, and a shift in my perspective. In this stepping-stone class, we will explore reflective writing and how to use this sacred practice in your life.
