Join us for a unique and exciting beginner’s watercolor class!
Working with painter Ana Johnson-Moore, students will learn color mixing, paper properties, unique characteristics of this wonderful painting medium, and will empower themselves to create artworks that captivate and inspire. It is not a problem if you are completely new to watercolors – this class will teach you all the basic materials and techniques that you need to create your own style and start your artistic journey. Participants can look forward to learning the fundamentals of watercolor in an immersive and inspiring environment.

INSTRUCTOR: Ana Johnson-Moore  ​    

Ana Johnson-Moore is a professional artist living in Sandwich, MA.  Originally from Bucharest, Romania, she has found her creative haven on Cape Cod. Over the past five years, she has specialized in watercolor painting, creating diverse commissions and showcasing her work in galleries across the Northeast and in international art publications. Her collaborations with local shops and businesses have fostered a vibrant artistic community.
Watercolors hold a special place in Ana's heart, perfectly capturing the essence of her inspirations from beachside walks and vivid daydreams. Influences from vaporwave music, anime, 80s neon, and horror novels infuse her work, transforming everyday moments into art.
In her beginner watercolor class, Ana shares her passion and knowledge, providing a welcoming space for both novices and those looking to refine their skills. Join her in discovering the joy of watercolor painting at Sandwich Art Alliance!
