CREATING ABSTRACT WORKS OF ART

In this immersive course on creating abstract art, you will explore the fundamental elements and principles of design, color theory, and composition, all of which are integral to crafting distinctive abstract paintings. Through a series of engaging and playful weekly exercises, you will have the opportunity to experiment with various methods and materials while examining different styles and concepts. As you progress through the course, you will develop a deeper appreciation of abstract expression and complete the journey with a newfound understanding of its nuances.
Materials : Set of acrylic Paint Assortment of Brushes 18 x 24 Heavy white paper 6-8 sheets blue paper tape Large canvas assortment of papers, tissue, and painted papers Liquitex medium gesso mark-making materials: charcoal, India ink, wax pencil, paint markers If you do not wish to purchase, the instructor will supply for $50.00 materials fee. Nora Cannon M. Ed - Earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the esteemed Massachusetts College of Art and Design, followed by a Master’s degree in Education from Tufts University, acquired through the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Over the past thirty years, she has immersed herself in the art community—teaching, lecturing, and writing about art while continuously exhibiting artwork in various galleries and spaces.
