“Beginner Drawing” presented by Ms. Dianne Corbeau
Classes: Fridays, 1/25-3/8 (no class 2/22)
Location: Sandwich Public Library, Rm 2
Cost: $90 member/$100 non-member
Class will begin with linear and compound sketches while beginning your drawing with a thumbnail sketch for placement and composition. I will have handouts and examples of this as well. As the students follow along, we will grid and draw your still life or subject matter to life size the grid will help you along with everything. We will address everything from spatial relations/compositions to lines, planes and structure. As the drawing is set, we move forward to shading. There will also be handouts about the form of shading and gradations and optional take-home projects to help you with your drawing. I will guide you through everything. Class will conclude with exploring a Master’s technique with tinted paper and white charcoal.

- Sketch pad 18” x 24”
- Vine sticks of charcoal (soft)
- General’s Charcoal pencil Set which includes various blacks and a White pencil (available online or Michaels)
- Kneaded eraser
- Drawing board and tape if desire
Tinted paper will be sold by the instructor for the last class exercise at a nominal price.
Instructor: Dianne Corbeau
Dianne Corbeau began her artistic professional International career at the age of 16 years old in New York City, while becoming well established she wanted to learn the master techniques from the oldest school in the United States. She graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2002 with many honors and awards as well as a travel scholarship through Europe. She also graduated with a MFA from University of Pennsylvania in 2002 and a certificate in medical Anatomy from Hahnemann Hospital in PA in 2001. Since then Ms. Corbeau has her collections in Permanent Museums worldwide and is represented by galleries nationally
