Over the course of two day’s instruction, artists learn tenets of painting through specific exercises. Discover Your Painting Voice is a in relaxed, inspiring lessons and explore an opaque painting medium of your choice: oil, acrylic, or gouache. Whether you’re a beginner or building on your skills, you’ll learn techniques to express your unique vision with color, texture, and style. Classes will be a combination of demos and exercises with directed and free painting time. Suited for all levels, Kim covers core best-practices like value and color theory with expert tips to increase your painting proficiency, vocabulary, and composition. Artists are encouraged to work in a series for this class and can expect to leave with an impressive stack of completed paintings and studies. Each class block ends with an optional (but supportive and voluntary) group critique. Experiment freely, get personalized guidance, and increase your painting confidence — all while having a great time! INSTRUCTOR: Kim Morin Weineck
Kim Morin Weineck is an award-winning artist, educator, and designer who enjoys working in all art mediums, traditional and digital.
Endlessly inspired by nature and hailing from an immensely creative family of artists, she graduated with distinction from Massachusetts College of Art and is a juried member of local and national art societies. She lives in Norfolk, Massachusetts with her husband and two teen daughters. Her work is carried in numerous galleries, especially in New England. She loves to teach.
