“Drop-in Drawing for Teens and Adults” facilitated by Donna Rockwell
Classes: Ongoing Thursdays 4/25-5/30
Time: 6:00-7:30PM Location: Do Well Studio, 68 Tupper Road #7, Sandwich, MA Cost: $15 drop-in rate (payable at beginning of class)/$75 6-session pass This informal, drop-in setting will give you extra practice time to perfect your drawing skills, develop a portfolio, or just relax! The facilitator will be there to assist with any questions or advice needed. Multiple still-life setups, based on a new theme each week, will offer a variety of subject matter and challenges for artists of all abilities.

Weekly Themes
4/25 - Nature Studies - Work from a variety of objects of nature for close-up exploration and detail drawing 5/2 - Floral Still Life - explore color and composition with a choice of two spring-themed setups 5/9 - Glass and Reflection Still Life - challenge yourself with a study of how light interacts with transparent objects and shiny reflections 5/16 - Tabletop Bounty Still Life - the study of food has long inspired artists - both classic and modern. Come try your hand with this interesting and colorful topic 5/23 - Coastal Still Life - we will take our inspiration from the sea for a couple of nautical-themed still life setups 5/30 - Anatomy Studio - work from plaster models, skeletons - or your own hand - in this study of parts of the human form |

- Bring your own materials, in whatever medium you prefer
- Tabletop easels available, or feel free to bring your own easel or drawing board

Instructor: Donna Rockwell
A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Illustration, Donna has worked as a designer, illustrator and fine artist for 20+ years. Teaching experience includes instruction in both computer and traditional art methods at Arlington Catholic High School and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Additionally, she has provided instruction assistance at the University of Colorado in printmaking. She can be found creating art of all kinds at her Do Well Studio in Sandwich, MA.
