Instructor: Ms. Karen Santos
Karen Santos has worked on and off stage for more than thirty years in various roles performing, directing, producing, writing and teaching.
At the Sandwich Arts Alliance, she has taught, played in the Ukulele Festivals, acted in their Staged Readings, and currently serves as the Acting Executive Director. Karen has also taught creative drama at Cotuit Center for the Arts, Waldorf School of Cape Cod, and the Barnstable Intermediate School’s cluster enrichment program. At the City Performing Arts Center in Boston, she worked with their City Spotlights program, a cultural celebration of Boston neighborhoods, culminating in an intergenerational ensemble performance piece. In their education office, she helped coordinate participation in its Fun Fridays Program and off-site interactive performance workshops. Karen combined her passion for animals and theatre for her thesis project, a drama-based curriculum unit on responsible pet care and the understanding/celebration of the human-animal bond. She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Theatre Education from Emerson College. |
