Award winning Native Tlingit singer/songwriter Kim Moberg began playing guitar at age 14 but stage fright kept her from becoming a performer. In 2014 Kim set out to overcome her stage fright and wrote her first song. Kim teamed with Grammy nominated producer Jon Evans to record three albums, all charting on the Folk Alliance International DJ charts. Her latest release, “The Seven Fires Prophecy Suite for Humanity,” (2023) is an original 8-song suite that tells the ancient yet relevant Anishinaabe legend “The Seven Fires Prophecy” in songs that tie ancient prophecies to our current social environment. Kim’s fourth album “All That Really Matters,” also produced by Jon Evans, is scheduled for release in early 2025. A strong believer that music brings us together and holds the power to effect change, Kim is an inaugural member of Club Passim’s “The Folk Collective,” an initiative founded in 2022 to present inclusive and equitable events that welcome and invite diverse audiences and artists to the Passim stage and beyond. Kim is the founder and long-time co-manager of the Sandwich Arts Alliance annual Porchfest, a flagship event that brings together music and community. www.kimmobergmusic.com |

Where: The Glass Town Stage Sandwich Historic Town Hall 130 Main Street Sandwich, MA Christina Nordstrom’s songs include such themes as social justice, peace-making, finding one’s place in the world, the joys [and challenges] of parenting, helping children to make healthy choices, the lighter side of aging, and exploring life’s spiritual connections. Over the last 30 years, in her song-writing she often tries to “walk in the shoes” of a person or a situation to bring out a message or a lesson in a song from another’s perspective. She says that her songs are a part of her story, her contribution to the Circle of Life, and document who she is, what she believes and what she has discovered during her time here.
She plays acoustic guitar with Ted Mello (of Crabgrass Bluegrass and The Lindsays) on upright bass – who also provides back-up vocals and helps in arranging their songs – in the folk duo, Earth Harmony. www.christinanordstrom.com |
