Watercolor Demonstration
PRESENTED BY Mary Smith
Mary will be conducting a watercolor demonstration at the SAA Gallery on January 27, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 PM, a unique opportunity for us to learn firsthand about her process and technique. If there is enough interest, she may conduct a watercolor painting class in the Spring.

Since moving to Sandwich in 2016, SAA member Mary Smith has won over 20 awards from various prestigious galleries for her watercolors. These include numerous first place awards in National shows. She has collected awards from the Cape Cod Art Center, Sandwich Arts Alliance, the New England Watercolor Society and the Rhode Island Watercolor Society, among others. She has also been painting Plein Air for many years, both at home and when traveling — in Italy, France, England and China and has won Plein Air awards in Nantucket and Key West. She participated in writing and illustrating a guide for Plein Air on Cape Cod 2019 published by the Cape Cod Art Center. Mary is a Signature Member of the New England Watercolor Society, a Gallery Artist at the South Shore Art Center, and a Master Artist at Cape Cod Art Center.
