ABOUT THE PRESENTERS

Pete Schiffer was born into the business of independent publishing, it was not just an occupation for the family, rather a lifestyle. The family’s house was on the ground floor of the office building and family trips were to visit authors and prospect new ideas where the entire family was involved in creating new works. Pete officially joined the team as a sales representative in 2004 and began visiting Cape Cod looking for new ideas. In 2008, Pete became Publisher and continues to evolve the family business in the ever-changing landscape of publishing. Today Schiffer Publishing has over 6000 titles in print across its diverse range of subjects for the passionate reader.

Grossman holds a B.A. and M.A. from Michigan State University. He taught at
Oakland Community College outside of Detroit and at The New School in
Manhattan. Appearances on national radio and TV shows include Arthur Frommer’s Travel
Channel and NBC-TV’s New York City affiliate. His articles have appeared in
consumer and trade magazines on diverse topics ranging from green living, ethics,
travel marketing, bank marketing to flying. Publications include Advertising Age,
Ergo Solutions Magazine, The CLIA Cruise Industry Annual Report, The American
Banker and Plane & Pilot Magazine. Book talk venues include repeat events at the
New York Public Library. He currently runs the eBook Bakery and helps fellow authors self-publish.
