As we’re sure you’re already aware, coronavirus cases are on the rise. For that reason, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our New Year's Eve event, The Sandwich Showcase Cavalcade Countdown. While we know this is disappointing, we hope you can understand the steps we’re taking to help keep our community safe. We will be processing refunds for everyone who bought a ticket. Sandwich Showcase Cavalcade Countdown

COST: $15 for adults, $10 for children

​COUNTING DOWN TO 2022 - RINGING IN THE NEW!
The Sandwich Arts Alliance is very excited to announce that there will be a multigenerational event on New Year's Eve! We are hosting the Sandwich Showcase Cavalcade Countdown on New Year's Eve! We have invited approximately 10 acts to count us down every 10 minutes or so with a variety of performances. We will all join together at the end to count down the year-end (even if it is 9:55 pm!) and sing together "Auld Lang Syne." We expect this to sell out, so get your tickets early! In addition to the wonderful show, there will be soft drinks, snacks, kids' activities, and raffle prizes.

We ask that attendees be vaccinated or wear a mask. Contract tracing data will be collected as part of the ticketing and entry process in accordance with Town Hall policies.

How the Calvacade Countdown came to be...
In the absence of First Night Sandwich this year, Todd Herrmann, co-coordinator for the Performing Arts for SAA, checked with Alliance members to see if there was any interest in putting on a New Year's Eve show...and, indeed, there was!

"Once we learned that First Night Sandwich was not going to happen this year, we felt a void – and an opportunity. This will by no means be a replacement for First Night Sandwich. We look forward to First Night returning with its multiple venues, multiple hours, community food vendors, fairy gardens, circus acts, parade, and fireworks. That said, this will be a really wonderful show to ring in the new year. It's on the earlier side so kids can join us and if you have somewhere else to go for midnight, you can still do that, too!"
