Palette Knife Painting in Acrylics

Free yourself from the brush! We will create dynamic and textural landscape paintings using palette knives for our tools. Learn new techniques of applying paint for unique kinetic effects. Materials include acrylic paints, a 12" x 16" canvas panel per student, and canvas paper.
These workshops are geared towards adults, but can be enjoyed and joined by older children/teens (recommended age 10 and up). We encourage parent/child duos!
Instructor: Léonie Little-Lex
Leonie Little-Lex is a fine artist and illustrator who lives with her husband on Cape Cod, MA. She graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a BFA in illustration in 2009, and went on to complete her Masters of Arts in teaching in 2012. She shows her work on Cape Cod and in the greater Boston area, and has also exhibited nationally in Oregon, New York, and North Carolina. She works in a variety of media with an emphasis on painting and pen-and-ink drawings. A is for Always: An Adoption Alphabet, her first children’s book, was recently released in August 2022. In addition to her work as an artist, Léonie has been an instructor in drawing and painting for over 10 years, both in private and community settings.
