Watercolor with Colored Pencil

Times: 1:00-4:00PM    
Location: Sandwich Arts Alliance Center, 124 Rt. 6A, Sandwich, MA
Cost: ​$70 members/$75 non-members*
*Materials Fee: $10.00 paid to instructor at the first class
With assistance, students will sketch a floral composition from a photograph on Stonehenge paper. I can provide some photos to choose from, or students can bring their own. A good photo should be approximately 8x10 and detailed. We will do a watercolor wash over the sketch and work on details with Prismacolor colored pencils.
 
The skills that you learn in this class will provide you with the skills to move onto a 5 week class to be offered at a later date.
Instructor: Karen Shortsleeve
Karen has a BFA and an MFA in Visual Arts and over 30 years of experience teaching Advanced
Placement Art History and Studio Art at the high school level. 

She paints seascapes, landscapes, still life, and portraits. Her preferred media is oil paint, oil pastel, and a
combination of watercolor with colored pencil.
