Plein Air/Full Moon Writing
Writing is more immediate to the reader if the writer is describing something he or she experienced in the moment rather than remembered. We will have a chance to experience the twilight, the gloaming, and the darkness of a summer night. Each evening will feel, smell, look, and sound different, from fireflies to crickets, from cool breezes to humid evenings, from the warm scents of earth, marsh, and pond water to salt water and sand. Each person will write what they need: descriptions to add to novels or nonfiction, poems, scenes, or the beginning of a book. What to bring: chair, notebook, pen, flashlight or headlamp, and something to drink, if you like.
