Celebrating Women in the Arts is a three-day event that showcases the talents and achievements of women in various fields of art. The event is produced by Sandwich Arts Alliance, a nonprofit organization that promotes and supports local artists and cultural activities. Here is a brief summary of what you can expect from each day of the event:
SAA Women in Arts Opening
Friday, March 15, 5:00-7:00 PM at SAA Center Gallery - 130 Main Street, Sandwich
This is an exhibition of original artworks by women artists from the SAA. You can enjoy the beautiful paintings, sculptures, and photographs while listening to the soothing harp music of Katie Koglin, a renowned harpist and vocalist. You can also sample some delicious food and wine and hear readings from women writers. There will be awards in numerous categories, as well as a chance to meet and mingle with the artists and other guests.

You can hear a variety of genres and styles, from folk to rock, from jazz to pop. You can also join the discussion and learn more about their stories and inspirations behind the songs.
